Registration for ImajiNation 2026, Indonesian National Visual Coding Competition Is Still Open! Turn Your Ideas into 3D & AR Projects
Have a creative idea you want to turn into an interactive project? You still have time to join ImajiNation 2026. Registration and project submission are open until September 13, 2026.
For students and teachers who want to explore technology in a creative way, ImajiNation 2026 is an opportunity to experiment, create, and showcase their work on a national stage.
ImajiNation is a National Visual Coding Competition for students and teachers across Indonesia. Through Visual Coding, 3D, and Augmented Reality (AR), participants are invited to turn their ideas into interactive digital projects using Assemblr EDU.

The competition is open to students from different education levels as well as teachers across Indonesia through four categories:
- SD Dreamers
For elementary school students in Grades 4–6 who want to turn their imagination and ideas into interactive projects.
- SMP Makers
For junior secondary school students in Grades 7–9 who participate in teams. This category also features a Live Competition at the ImajiNation 2026 Grand Final, which will be held offline in Jakarta.
- SMA/SMK Visionaries
For senior secondary and vocational school students who want to develop projects through a more systematic approach while exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the creative process. - Edu Innovators
For teachers from all education levels who want to create technology-based interactive learning materials. Projects can take the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD), interactive slides, interactive projects, or other innovative formats.
Choose Your Project Theme

After selecting their category, student participants can choose one of three Creative Quests as the theme for their project:
- Dream Quest
Bring imaginary worlds to life through creative 3D and AR experiences.
- Eco Quest
Explore environmental and sustainability issues through creative and educational digital projects.
- Culture Quest
Turn Indonesia’s rich culture, traditions, and identity into interactive digital experiences.
Meanwhile, teacher participants can create interactive learning materials powered by Augmented Reality (AR) that are ready to be used in the classroom. Projects can be developed as Student Worksheets (LKPD), interactive slides, interactive projects, or other innovative formats.
These themes and project formats give participants room to develop ideas based on their own interests and creativity.
You Don’t Need to Know Text-Based Coding
One of the things that makes ImajiNation different is that participants do not need prior experience with text-based programming to start creating.
With Visual Coding in the Assemblr EDU editor, participants can arrange blocks of commands to create interactions, control object movements, build cause-and-effect relationships, and create projects that respond to user actions.
Through this process, participants can also develop an understanding of basic coding logic, computational thinking, problem-solving, and systematic thinking through hands-on project creation.
For teachers, ImajiNation provides an opportunity to explore how 3D and AR technology can be used to create learning experiences that are more interactive and relevant for students.
